Akij Ceramics champions sustainability. They use advanced tech to reduce energy and gas use, capture waste heat, and innovate with solar power, wastewater recycling, and 100% solid waste reuse. This commitment ensures a greener future.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND REDUCED EMISSIONS
We utilize advanced technology to conserve a significant amount of natural gas – 600,000 cubic feet per day. This translates to a substantial reduction in our overall carbon footprint.
Through technological advancements, we have successfully reduced carbon emissions per square meter of tile production by 13%, equivalent to the positive environmental impact of 250,000 trees.

TRANSFORMING WASTE INTO GREEN INITIATIVES
We capture waste heat from our kilns and gas generators, significantly reducing atmospheric temperatures by the equivalent of 15,000 standard cubic meters of air. This innovative approach demonstrates our dedication to minimizing environmental impact.
HARNESSING GREEN ENERGY SOURCES
We are proud to generate 20% of our electricity using solar panels, producing a substantial 100 MW of clean energy. We are continuously expanding our solar power infrastructure for an even greater impact.
SUSTAINABLE WATER MANAGEMENT
We are actively working towards achieving zero water discharge in our operations. Currently, we have achieved close to 50% utilization of wastewater, and we aim to reach 100% utilization within a year, saving approximately 200,000 liters of water daily. Additionally, we are exploring rainwater harvesting to further reduce our reliance on groundwater.
SUSTAINABLE WASTE RECYCLING
We have implemented a comprehensive waste recycling program that achieves 100% reuse of solid waste generated from our ceramic production processes. This commitment to recycling minimizes waste and ensures a cleaner, more environmentally responsible operation, with an average daily waste reduction of 51 metric tons.
